Introducing MedPark AlloD(Dental): A New Allogeneic Bone Graft

Medpark has launched "Medpark AlloD (Dental)," a dental allograft bone graft material. This new product incorporates the company's proprietary "S1" technology, completing a bone graft product lineup—alongside the existing xenograft "Medpark Bovine (S1)"—capable of addressing a wide range of clinical situations.




"Medpark AlloD" is an allograft material based on FDBA (Freeze-Dried Bone Allograft)—human-derived bone tissue—that offers structural stability and moldability. It features enhanced physical stability and ease of handling thanks to the application of the proprietary S1 technology. The product has received medical device manufacturing approval from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety and enhances convenience for medical professionals by allowing use without the need to submit separate tissue transplantation reports.




The company also prioritized the safety of raw materials. It uses only human tissue from donors who meet both domestic public tissue bank criteria and the standards of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB); additionally, the material undergoes a process to remove immunogenic substances, thereby minimizing the risk of post-transplant rejection.




Allografts, which utilize human-derived bone tissue, are used in periodontal and implant treatments due to their rapid bone regeneration rates and advantages in new bone formation. Xenografts, derived from bovine bone, offer excellent space-maintaining properties, making them effective for treating extensive bone defects. With the launch of this new product, Medpark can now supply both xenografts and allografts—each with distinct characteristics—centered around the S1 technology.




The S1 technology has also been applied to the existing "Medpark Bovine (S1)." It is designed to maintain a stable shape at the graft site, leveraging high cohesiveness and moldability that allow the clinician to shape the material as desired. Medpark has applied its accumulated "S1" technical expertise to the specific characteristics of "Allo-D," enabling easy and precise procedures even in complex bone defect sites. This approach minimizes performance variations based on the practitioner's skill level, ensuring consistent results across diverse clinical settings.
